Why I want to Direct this series is because I love the realism and the dark humour that you see happen within the hole series and the great relation ships that form through time and coincidence.

THE SETUP

Howdy Pilgrim! I’d just like to say thanks to Writer/Director Jason Kupfer, for allowing me early access to an online screener of his 7 minute, Horror/Comedy short “Invaders”. Prior to entering a wealthy families suburban home, a pair of invaders ponder potential character choices as well as how to proceed with the job. The film stars Ricky Wayne, Jordan Woods-Robinson and Larry Bukovey. I originally stumbled upon a write-up for Invaders and thought it sounded great. I’ve seen my fair share of short films over the last twelve months, most of which have been really polished films so what about Invaders? This is Jason’s third short and it was shot for an estimated budget of $10,000.

THE GOOD

The premise of Invaders is an extremely entertaining one. A deliciously dark comedy done in good nature. We all remember “Home Alone’s” Harry and Marv, the simple-minded buddy duo that could never seem to get it together when it came time to get young Kevin. Our driver and passenger in Invaders are very much cut from the same cloth as the aforementioned. Though I felt a hint of John Hughes’s classic film about it, there aren’t any real references in here. However, a couple of other films are mentioned during the opening lines of dialogue so that was a nice touch. All the shot choices are fantastic so kudos go to both Jason and Cinematographer, Marco Cordero. Everything is expertly framed and crisply edited, those specific shots with a gentle zoom help give the viewer a variety of camera activity to look at.

My review of this short film is it is well shot short film gripping and keeps you on egad to see what is going to happen.

My moment is the scene in the film inglourious basterds where the Bear Jew appears holding his baseball bat but before he appears you can hear him whacking his bat against the side of the tunnel it scares the Nazi who is tied up surrounded by the rest of the group all staring and some of them smiling and laughing.

This scene is very dramatic and brutal but its a scene that most people who watch the film will remember this its perfect in its approach to scaring the Nazi but it dose nothing to scaring him but to be honest I would be scared in his shoes if i was him in this situation.

Helen Withers is a well known person with a lot of friends but not all are true friends that she trusts and likes.Her dad owns the shop she works in she has bean working for her dad for four years. Then one average day out of nowhere a man comes running in asking with all his heart "can you please hide me" a feeling she had she decided to help him he also said "Don't listen to them" so when two men big men came in asking if she had seen a man with a white shirt,black jeans,silver necklace black boots and a jean chain she said she has not seen anybody like that but I think I've seen a man with a white shirt go around the corner from here.

John Bow is a athletic barman but is also a drug runner for a local gang he has been doing drug runs since he was 17 but recently he has had some trouble with the gang and some recent disappearances  of money from the gang they think it is him but they are not shore if they want to take him out.He is on the run from being taken out from the gangs hitmen who have bean threatening him and bean following him waiting for the right moment to take him out. In a non-public area.

After Helen got rid of the hitmen from her shop she got John out of his hiding place asked him what he did and what she got herself into for helping him he said a bit about what he did but he didn't share every detail mainly to do that the disappearance of the money was actually him.He actually had the money hidden in a secret location he took the money so he could pay to get out of the country and start a new life but he can't get out of town without being seen by a member of the gang they own nearly all the businesses in the town that is including the shop that Helen's dad owns.She is still not shore to trust him or not but for know she will trust him.

Pitch 25 Words: A fast paced drama showing the struggle of chose between two strangers hiding from a vicious gang hunting them down nonstop around every corner.

Genre: action drama.

Main location: Is a corner shop its pretty run down but more or less your normal corner shop.

The Meet

Why they be meeting

The meeting is by chance and was not organized by the 2 individuals.

Goal, Conflict and change in the idea

Goal

The original for both the priest and the University professor was to head home via train. They end up at the same train station and the priest notices the professor at the train station for the first time and notes the fact that she is upset. His goal slightly deviates from heading straight home and attempts to approach the professor despite his shy nature when meeting new people.

Conflict

The priest would then proceed to ask her about her emotional trauma in which she would at first hesitate to reveal her worries and become slightly defensive and partly aggressive but then relaxes and comment on the fact of having to meet her parents who she doesn't share good relations due to her problematic past.

Change

The priest then begins to comfort the professor and encouraging her to meet her parents. After being slowly reassured and comforted the professor calms down and realizes that her parents only wanted what was best for their daughter in which she has opposing opinions with. After the professor and the priest part ways, the priest then begins to change from a shy and close minded nature to a more open with his thoughts and more approachable with the surrounding populace.

I've bean getting to know everybody and who they are where they come from its nice seeing new faces and learning new things the thing I am looking forward to the most is learning TV and Film in my new university lets see how it goes.
